Re‑using Your Wig

HUMAN HAIR CARE INSTRUCTION
1. ABOUT COMBING
When brushing, use the appropriate tools for different textures. Start at the ends of your hair and gently work your way up. This avoids tangling and pulling damage. Always brush in a downward motion and do not brush harshly.
2. ABOUT WASHING
  • Step1: Detangle your wig gently by using a wide tooth comb.
  • Step2: Curly wigs should be untangled by hands, no combs or brushes.
  • Step3: Fill a basin or container with cool water and mix in a bit of shampoo and conditioner.
  • Step4: Immerse your wig and swirl it around gently.
  • Step5: Let it soak for about 5 minutes.
  • Step6: Rinse your wig by gently running cool water over it. Do not rub as it will tangle the wig.
  • Step7: Pat dry with a towel. Do not wring or rub, as it will mess up the wig.
  • Step8: Place your wig on a wig stand and leave it to air dry.
3. ABOUT MAINTENANCE
Use a soft fabric or satin hair scrunchie to tie a high ponytail to avoid tangling and dryness.
When not wearing, place your wig on a wig stand or mannequin head.
At night, tie the hair up with a satin scrunchie or wear a satin bonnet. A satin pillowcase is an alternative.
4. ABOUT MOISTURIZE
At least once a week, apply moisturizing cream or argan oil (e.g., Mizani cream, Coconut oil, Shea butter) between braid rows.
Use herb-based products when hair becomes dry or yellow. For bifurcation or fragile hair, use special protective and cleansing products.
5. STRAIGHT HAIR CARE
Straight hair is easy to manage. Use small amounts of lightweight serums.
Use a wide tooth comb for detangling.
Avoid products containing sulfate, parabens, or alcohol as they dry out the hair and cause tangling.
6. CURLY HAIR CARE
Curly hair requires more hydration.
Use lightweight serums and leave-in conditioners. A quarter-size of each product is enough.
Use a wide tooth comb only. Avoid fine tooth combs to prevent tangling and shedding.
Do not use products with sulfate, parabens, or alcohol.
7. ABOUT HOT TOOLS
Heat shortens the lifespan of your hair extensions. Avoid frequent hot tool usage.
Always use heat protectant. For colored hair, use up to 350°F. For natural black hair, do not exceed 400°F to avoid dryness.
Do not leave hot tools on your wig for more than 30 seconds.
Tip: Clean tools after use to remove loose hair and avoid residue.
NOTES
  • 1) Oil sheen is not recommended for blond hair — it may cause weave to slip out.
  • 2) When swimming, wear a cap or keep your hair out of water. Chlorine and salt water cause tangling.
  • 3) Even if it's 100% human hair, avoid frequent perming, coloring, or chemical processing.
  • 4) You may bleach the knots, but we suggest a professional stylist. Using foundation instead can help wigs last longer.
  • 5) It's easier to darken hair than lighten it. Dyeing darker is more color-stable. Seek professional help for dyeing.
  • 6) Keep hair clean. Sweat and dirt cause tangles. Wash hair after workouts or swimming.
  • 7) Use quality shampoo (sulfate-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free). Your stylist can recommend the best product.
  • 8) For removal, consult a professional stylist.
